Spring Valley High School Anime Club

Club activities

In addition to showing anime, our club has had fun with the following activities:

  • Group discounts at local cons (with the more dedicated going to non-local cons as well).
  • A cosplay contest, particularly around Halloween.
  • Cosplay workshops: get together and share ideas, techniques, and sewing machines.
  • Karaoke events using anime or J-Pop music with timed lyrics.
  • Group expeditions to local Japanese restaurants and/or bookstores.
  • Inviting speakers on anime-related topics: animation, comics, film, popular culture, or Japanese culture.
  • A club newsletter.

  • Volunteers Needed to Work Club Fair Stand!

    Hello Anime Club!

    We need some members of the club from last year to volunteer to answer questions at the Anime Club Stand at the SVHS Club Fair on Friday, September 9 after school. If you can do it, please email Darcy Black: dblack@echalkdistrict.com. Please do so ASAP so we get a general idea of the numbers we have available.

    If you're interested in visiting Japan this winter break, please attend our general meeting on September 1st at 4PM in room 302. This is an informational meeting where we will discuss cost and the itinerary!
